Having worked with larger brands and smaller brands I can say that the wishlist is a nice idea, but similar to abandon cart needs to be optimized. What I mean is that if you add a wishlist to your site- you need make sure to use that as a vehicle to communicate with your customer. Perhaps you email them when the products are on sale, or send them a coupon for their next purchase.
